Alas, a sole spot of darkness in a much maligned world...and from the shadows saunters Cat, not quite sure where she fits in with all this mess! Dear antiquated humans, I greet you with humble arrogance and counterfeit sincerity. Not quite sure what that means, but I've become quite enamoured of the "oxymoron" as of late. So! About me? Menya zovut Kat. I have lived in the dreary netherworld of Wichita, KS. all of my lonely life, except for the collective weeks/months I've vacationed elsewhere (the place I will return to someday (not FFIX :P): Connemara, Ireland! Permanently!)I am an artist on commission, a student, a twin, an aspiring writer and a singer, mostly of classical things like opera and the like. I love books! I am currently in the middle of "Crime and Punishment", "Eragon", "Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code", "The Republican Playbook", "Vampire Hunter D: Raiser of Gales", and "The Picture of Dorian Grey", all simultaneously. I always put them down and forget about them for a few months until I rediscover them. I have a terrible memory like that of a goldfish.
I am not a huge fan of people. I have a tendency to be rather paranoid and thus am something of a loner. I don't have a huge group of friends, just a few close ones, but I don't see them very often. Dating isn't my thing, never done it and doubt I ever will (not that I've been asked out...ha, I wonder why). From what I see, I don't think I'm missing anything...I believe in courting, however. It's much more romantic, whereas dating is so...superficial and temporary. But I do hope that there is someone special out there for me, though it may be just a false hope. Eh, not that it matters. At least I've got my kitty.
I am a Final Fantasy fan, thus I cosplay whenever appropriate (usually as Aerith or Terra), and I love Yoshitaka Amano and Nobuo Uematsu, my favorite artist and composer, respectively. Some people say I'm a rebel, others unique or "weird" (::cough::my sister), and my mom lovingly calls me her "little Socialist". Heh. I prefer Queen of Eternal Darkness. I don't like the light too much...it hurts my eyes and makes me tan. Shudder. I would rather not look like a peasant that has been laboring in the fields all day long! Call me medieval, why don't you, I'll be flattered! Oh dear, rambling again...one will find me doing that constantly. I always like to add my little inner snide comments and random thoughts. I can't stand the government, for obvious reasons, and think that Congress is like a bunch of college freshmen (except me); too wasted to do their homework. The executive branch simply makes me nauseous, and the judicial is just a bunch of Bushmonkey's cronies. Shuddering away from that touchy subject.
I LOVE CATS and that is the truth. I have 4 cats now, Boots, Gracie, Dinah, and my cute little black cat, Trixy. I used to have 10 a few months ago, but that is a long story...kittens and runaways and such. I don't drink alcohol (law-abiding judge's daughter) or smoke, which could ruin my voice. Plus, it's doing a number on the atmosphere. I have re-learned the piano and though it may take me some time to get the hang of a song, once I've committed it to memory I can play pretty well. I mostly play Final Fantasy music, though I can accompany myself to a Mozart aria from Die Zauberflote. I wish on stars and believe in dragons, and I've seen faeries in Ireland (I'm not joking). No wonder others call me weird. Oh well, you only insult what you can't comprehend!
Somehow I knew I would make this autobiography far too long to hold interest. Bad Cat.
